Introduction of high yield crop varieties (HYV), intensive cropping and a strategic shift with a careful use of NPK fertilizers has kicked in the second phase of Green Revolution in the country. However, excessive cropping of the past two decades has already drained our land of its nutrient wealth and bumper harvests of the past have now made our soil resource extremely fragile. It needs to be replenished with micronutrients in order to once again obtain optimum yield.
Multiple nutrient deficiencies in the soil are a major constraint to further increase in production. Instead of considering N (urea) as a fix-all for all deficiencies, we need to supplement other nutrients (K, P, S and micronutrients) to enrich our depleted soil resource. Steigen does that with its strong, field-tested portfolio of products.
